Closures for dams

07_leibis_lichteDams have so-called intake structures for the management of the stored water and for the emptying of the basin. These consist of pipelines and closures. The pipelines usually lead under the dam or through the dam wall to the air side Closing or regulating devices (e.g. flaps, gates, sluices, valves) are used to close off these pipelines or to regulate the quantity of water discharged through them.
